“Hi everyone!! Roxy Lee here with my first ever set on the site! I couldn’t be happier that it is this set to be honest as I have a special place in my heart for The Crow and for the character of Eric Draven. This set was shot on Brandon Lees actual Birthday which is surreal to begin with. The moment I finished the makeup and put the leather trench coat on I felt different, it was like stepping into another persons skin and wearing it for a while…creepy? haha. Adam Jay was amazing to work with on set, he came knowing exactly what the character would be feeling and how he would pose and move, we worked side by side to recreate some of the more iconic Crow poses and body positions and I knew his darker edgier vibe would suit this cosplay perfectly. We’re Geek Girls who are sexy, funny, clever & in costume!
Toronto Comicon was a blast this year and bigger than ever! I had an amazing time and it was worth the wait in line Saturday morning to get in to see all the epic cosplayers, killer merch and celebs including the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation! I can’t begin to describe how much fun I had cosplaying as Finn from Adventure Time while taking photos of the Con and my beloved geeks of the Con! Also ‘An Evening With The Cast of Star Trek: TNG’ was one of my favourite panels ever!
So here are just a few of my favourite photos I took both days, I will eventually get around to posting all the photos on the Geek Girls facebook page. So if I took your photo but you’re not in here, don’t worry your photo will be up, just like the page and check back for updates. I’ve got hundreds to go through so it will take me a bit but they will be up eventually!
